Quietly hovering near its 52-week high today. Held its ground while enduring mild distributional pressure since last noted in the 12/01/11 mid-day report - "Quarterly comparisons have shown sub par earnings increases in the June and September 2011 quarterly comparisons versus the year ago period(s). Downturn in FY '08 earnings is a flaw concerning the A criteria."

Inching higher today for a 10th consecutive small gain backed by above average volume. Prior mid-day reports noted - "Rallied to new all-time high territory with a recent spurt of volume-driven gains. Technically, it broke out with a considerable gain on 10/27/11. Quarterly earnings increases have been mostly strong and backed by solid sales revenues increases, but the -16% earnings in its Jun '11 quarter is a flaw concerning the C criteria. This Luxembourg-based Financial Services firm's small supply (S criteria) of only 16.2 million shares in the public float can contribute to greater volatility in the event of institutional buying or selling. ASPS was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/07/10 then violated its 200 DMA with a streak of volume-driven losses, and it subsequently rebounded back above its 200 DMA and 50 DMA lines."

Hitting another new 52-week high today. This low-priced Medical - products firm has steadily worked its way higher and stubbornly held its ground while it was repeatedly noted in prior mid-day reports- "Sales revenues increases showed modest acceleration in recent quarterly comparisons while earnings improved. Annual earnings (A criteria) history has not been strong and steady. Low-priced stocks are discouraged from consideration as buy candidates under the fact-based system unless all key criteria are solidly satisfied."

Consolidating -5.3% off its 52-week high today. The 12/02/11 mid-day report noted - "On 11/18/11 it priced the previously announced new Public Offering of 3.3 million shares at $16.25. Held its ground and made recent progress above prior highs after the previously noted 10/21/11 gap up from a cup-with-handle type base. Earnings improved by more than +25% in recent quarterly comparisons (Mar, Jun, Sep '11) satisfying the C criteria, but its annual (A criteria) earnings history included a downturn in FY '10, a flaw with respect to the fact-based investment system's guidelines."

Touching a new 52-week high today with a 3rd consecutive small gain on above average volume, but not huge volume. Quietly pulling back from a new 52-week high hit since wedging higher without great volume conviction from support above its 50 DMA line and near prior chart highs. Last noted in the 12/02/11 mid-day report - "The previously noted 10/24/11 technical breakout helped it rally clear of resistance due to overhead supply. Recent quarters showed great earnings increases but its lackluster sales revenues growth and prior earnings history (including a downward turn in FY '09 earnings) make it a sub par candidate."

Poised today for a best-ever close and on track for a 3rd consecutive gain while rising near its all-time high with no resistance remaining due to overhead supply. Reported earnings +12% on +7% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Last noted in the 9/01/11 mid-day report - "Not a good match, fundamentally, with the investment system's winning models. It and similar players in the auto-repair arena have shown recent strength while consumers are fixing their old cars and holding off on new car purchases. Its annual earnings (A criteria) growth rate has been good in recent years. But in 6 of its 8 most recent quarterly earnings comparisons there are blue triangles beside the earnings figure on the chart service used by our experts - which indicates pre-tax, non-recurring items were included (where possible, such items are normally removed to provide data better suited for comparison)."

Touched yet another new 52-week high with today's small gain backed by above average volume. Noted in prior mid-day reports - "Perched at its 52-week high today, holding its ground stubbornly and inching higher since a breakaway gap on 11/08/11 from a deep cup shaped base. Following several years of operating losses (bad A criteria) it has shown strong sales revenues increases and produced solid earnings versus year-ago losses for the quarterly comparisons in Mar, Jun, and Sep '11. Holding its ground near its 52-week high today. It rallied from a 17-week cup shaped base during which it found support near its 200 DMA line. Recent quarterly comparisons showed strong sales and earnings increases. A downturn in FY '10 earnings is a flaw concerning the A criteria making it not a good match with the fact-based investment system's guidelines. Touched a new 52-week high today and then reversed into the red. Stayed well above its 50 DMA line during its quiet consolidation since last noted in the 11/17/11 mid-day report - "Stubbornly has held its ground following recent volume-driven gains, rising with no overhead supply to act as resistance. Reported earnings +138% on +73% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Recent quarterly comparisons show greatly improved sales revenues and earnings increases. Its annual earnings (A criteria) growth has not been strong and steady, and included a loss in FY '09, so it is fundamentally below guidelines of the fact-based investment system. It survived but failed to impress since dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 7/26/07. "
