Most Recent Note for AKRX - 12/9/2011 12:30:21 PM
Since last noted in the 11/30/11 mid-day report this pharmaceuticals firm has been hovering near its 52-week high. Volume totals have been cooling while holding its ground stubbornly above prior highs after a spurt of volume-driven gains helped this low-priced stock clear a 4-week consolidation. Previously noted- "Recent quarterly comparisons show strong sales revenues and earnings increases, however it does not have a strong annual earnings history (A criteria not satisfied) matching the models of past great winners identified using the fact-based investment system."

Rebounding within striking distance of its 52-week high and making a 2nd consecutive mid-day report appearance after a deep consolidation below its 200 DMA line and a new Public Offering (completed 11/09/11). Prior mid-day reports noted - "No overhead supply remains to act as resistance. It has rallied 14-fold in price from its March '09 low. Recent quarters showed sales revenues and earnings improving, however it was noted in prior mid-day reports - 'This low-priced Israeli Computer - Networking firm does not have a good annual earnings history (A criteria).'"

Inched higher with 7 consecutive small gains. Prior mid-day reports noted - "Rallied to new all-time high territory with a recent spurt of volume-driven gains. Technically, it broke out with a considerable gain on 10/27/11. Quarterly earnings increases have been mostly strong and backed by solid sales revenues increases, but the -16% earnings in its Jun '11 quarter is a flaw concerning the C criteria. This Luxembourg-based Financial Services firm's small supply (S criteria) of only 16.2 million shares in the public float can contribute to greater volatility in the event of institutional buying or selling. ASPS was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/07/10 then violated its 200 DMA with a streak of volume-driven losses, and it subsequently rebounded back above its 200 DMA and 50 DMA lines."

Perched near its 52 week high today. Found support near its 50 DMA line during its recent consolidation, and prior mid-day reports noted - "No resistance remains due to overhead supply. Reported earnings +14% on +13% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, down after recent comparisons showing encouraging sales revenues acceleration with better than +25% earnings increases. Its annual earnings (A criteria) history has been up and down."

Hovering near its all-time high. Reported earnings +24% on +7% sales revenues for the quarter ended October 31, 2011 versus the year ago period. Quarterly comparisons show deceleration in its earnings and sales revenues increases. It is heavily owned by mutual funds already, yet top-rated funds owning shares rose from 878 in Dec '10 to 1,023 in Sep '11, a reassuring sign concerning the I criteria. While consumers are fixing their old cars and holding off on new car purchases, AZO and similar players in the auto-repair arena have shown some leadership.

Still hovering near its 52-week high today. Held its ground stubbornly after a streak of 4 small but consecutive volume-driven gains following the previously noted advanced "3-weeks tight" pattern. Prior mid-day reports noted - "After reporting +38% earnings on +12% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. The Louisville, KY based pizza firm's lack of sales revenues growth in previous quarterly comparisons versus the year ago period is a concern. Superior buy candidates under the investment system's guidelines always showed strong sales revenues increases indicative of great demand for their products or services."

Touched another new high today. It has recently been holding its ground stubbornly. Reported earnings +95% on +91% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. The prior 3 quarterly comparisons (Mar, Jun, Sep '11) show impressive sequential acceleration in its sales revenues and earnings increases, satisfying the C criteria of the fact-based system. The downturn in its FY '09 earnings is a flaw concerning the A criteria. Considerable rally from its February 2011 lows in the $12 area.
