Perched at its 52-week high today. It found support near its 50 DMA line and continued rising since last noted in the 2/22/11 mid-day report and in the 1/19/11 mid-day report, as that short-term average defines a level where institutional investors tend to accumulate shares when the outlook for a company is still considered favorable. Earlier reports noted - "This MLP in the Energy - Coal industry has a quarterly and annual earnings history that has not been strong and steady."

Touched another new high earlier today after holding its ground following a considerable 2/18/11 gap up, but it is extended from a sound base. It found support above prior highs and its 50 DMA line during its consolidation after prior mid-day reports noted - "Patient investors may watch for a new base to form rather than chasing it after the big breakaway gap." Its strong earnings history satisfies the C and A criteria while it has been a leader (L criteria) in the computer networking industry, a group which led the tech sector in the latest rally.

Gapped up today, challenging its recent highs after dip below its 50 DMA line. It was noted on 11/19/10 for "sub par fundamentals". Mention in the 3/14/11 market commentary (read here) as coal and solar energy-related companies benefited while investors looked for alternatives. Stayed well above its 50 DMA line during its steady rally from September lows near $50 on above its 2008 high ($70) and further. Annual earnings history (A criteria) has not been strong and steady. Long ago, weak technical action prompted its removal from the Featured Stocks list on 7/02/08 after it made limited progress since the 5/01/08 analysis with annotated graph was published (read here). It actually made good progress after it gapped up and was first featured in the 4/16/08 CANSLIM.net Mid-Day BreakOuts Report rising from a "3-weeks tight" type of chart pattern (read here).

Touched another new high today. The 3/15/11 mid-day report noted - "Powered to a new 52-week high today after overcoming early weakness, and no resistance remains due to overhead supply now. Recently found support after briefly violating its 50 DMA line again, and that important short-term average defined a support level during its ascent following a technical breakout on 7/22/10. Reported earnings +37% on +17% sales revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 versus the year ago period, and similar increases for the September period. Perched near its all-time high, extended from any sound base and stubbornly holding its ground since a considerable gap up on 3/10/11 after news of a deal with Starbucks Corp (SBUX). The 3/11/11 mid-day report noted - "In recent weeks it had rallied above prior resistance in the $37-38 area, yet it had sputtered below its 50 DMA line since noted in the 11/30/10 mid-day report as it touched a new all-time high after a very choppy 9-week consolidation that included a brief trip below its 200 DMA line.
