Hitting yet another new all-time high while on track today for a 6th consecutive volume-driven gain. Found support at its 50 DMA line on its pullback after it technically broke out of a previously noted orderly base pattern. Noted in prior mid-day reports - " Quarterly earnings increases have been mostly strong and backed by solid sales revenues increases, but the -16% earnings in its Jun '11 quarter is a flaw concerning the C criteria. This Luxembourg-based Financial Services firm's small supply (S criteria) of only 16.2 million shares in the public float can contribute to greater volatility in the event of institutional buying or selling. ASPS was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/07/10 then violated its 200 DMA with a streak of volume-driven losses, and it subsequently rebounded back above its 200 DMA and 50 DMA lines."

Considerable gain today, approaching prior resistance in the $17-18 area. Recently found support above its 50 DMA line. Prior mid-day reports noted - "Quarterly sales revenues and earnings increases in the 5 latest comparisons through Sep 30, 2011 were well above the +25% guideline satisfying the C criteria. The downturn in FY '09 earnings is a fundamental flaw concerning the A criteria. With respect to the I criteria, the number of top rated funds owning its shares rose from 799 in Jun '11 to 913 in Dec '11. It survived but failed to impress since 4/23/2008 when it was dropped from the Featured Stocks list and subsequently fell from $13 to $3 over the next 6 months. First it had traded up as much as +25.4% after it was first featured at $15.89 in the February 2008 CANSLIM.net News (read here)."

It has steadily inched higher with no resistance remaining due to overhead supply, hitting new all-time highs repeatedly since the 2/02/12 mid-day report noted - "Reported earnings +23% on +24% sales revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 versus the year ago period. Found support above its 200 DMA line during its consolidation and continued to rise since fundamental concerns prompted it to be dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 8/02/11. To satisfy the C criteria a company should show earnings increases above +25% in the past 3 or 4 quarterly comparisons or show impressive sequential acceleration in recent earnings increases, rather than being up and down with results that are lackluster and only borderline with the minimum guideline."

It rallied from an inverse-head-and-shoulders type pattern since finding support at its 200 DMA following the previously noted 'breakaway gap' on 4/27/10. Leadership in the Auto/Truck - Replacement Parts group (L criteria) is a reassuring sign. Most Recent Note for WPC - 2/21/2012 1:31:54 PM
Considerable volume-driven gain today for a new 52-week high after announcing plans to convert into a REIT. Found support above its 50 DMA line in recent weeks while building a base-on-base pattern. Prior mid-day reports noted - "Reported earnings +49% on +35% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Sales revenues and earnings increases were strong in the Mar and Jun '11 quarters. Its annual earnings (A criteria) history has been below the fact-based investment system's guidelines."
