More details about this report...
At around
mid-way through each trading day we run
a screen against our database of
high-ranked stocks, searching for
possible buy candidates that are trading
at or near their 52-week high on above
average volume. The results of that
screen are split into the two sections
you see below. The first, titled
"TODAY's FEATURED STOCKS" shows stocks
that our experts have recently
identified as among the strongest candidates to
consider. Stocks highlighted in yellow
are the most timely and noteworthy, so
particular attention and prompt action
may be appropriate. The second section,
titled "TODAY's BREAKOUT SCREEN" shows
the remainder of stocks meeting today's
screen parameters. Our experts have
reviewed and included notes on these
stocks as well, but found that they may
not match up as favorably.

Pulling back from a new 52-week high hit earlier this week. It is slightly extended from prior chart highs in the $62-63 area. It went through a deep correction since last noted after a technical breakout on 2/11/11 from an orderly base above its 50 DMA line. Recent quarterly earnings and sales revenues increases have been strong however a downturn in FY '09 earnings (A criteria) is a flaw with respect to the fact-based investment system.

Pulled back after announcing a new Public Offering on 11/14/11. Still holding its ground near its 52-week high, consolidating above prior highs after the previously noted 10/21/11 gap up from a cup-with-handle type base. Earnings improved by more than +25% in recent quarterly comparisons (Mar, Jun, Sep '11) satisfying the C criteria, but its annual (A criteria) earnings history included a downturn in FY '10, a flaw with respect to the fact-based investment system's guidelines.

Holding its ground at its 52-week high after 2 consecutive volume-driven gains since proposing a new Public Offering on 11/14/11. Prior mid-day reports noted - "The Jun and Sep '11 quarterly comparisons showed very impressive sales revenues and earnings increases versus the year ago period(s). Prior history was not a good match with the investment system's guidelines. This low-priced firm in the Oil & Gas - US Exploration/Production industry has recently been wedging up near its prior highs in the $7-8 area without great volume conviction. Heavier volume was behind gains that helped it rebound from below its 50 and 200 DMA lines."

Recently inching to new 52-week highs after rebounding from another slump below its 50 DMA and 200 DMA lines. Quarterly sales revenues increases in the +6-8% are below the robust growth guidelines of the investment system. Noted in recent mid-day reports- "Its earnings and sales revenues showed improvement in the recent quarterly comparisons but its growth history is below the fundamental guidelines of the investment system. Current earnings per share should be up +25% or more and the past 3 or 4 comparisons in many cases accelerating in recent quarters. Quarterly sales should also be up +18-25% or more or accelerating over prior quarters."

The 11/16/11 md-day report noted - "Perched at its 52-week high today, holding its ground stubbornly and inching higher since a breakaway gap on 11/08/11 from a deep cup shaped base. Following several years of operating losses (bad A criteria) it has shown strong sales revenues increases and produced solid earnings versus year-ago losses for the quarterly comparisons in Mar, Jun, and Sep '11. The 11/15/11 mid-day report noted - "Inching to another new 52-week high with today's 4th consecutive gain. Stubbornly has held its ground following recent volume-driven gains, rising with no overhead supply to act as resistance. Reported earnings +138% on +73% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Recent quarterly comparisons show greatly improved sales revenues and earnings increases. Its annual earnings (A criteria) growth has not been strong and steady, and included a loss in FY '09, so it is fundamentally below guidelines of the fact-based investment system. It survived but failed to impress since dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 7/26/07. "

Recent volume-driven gains helped it rally up the right side of a deep 15-week cup shaped base. After years of operating losses (bad A criteria) it has reported solid earnings backed by huge sales revenues increases versus much smaller revenues and year-ago losses in the 3 latest quarterly comparisons through Sep '11.
