Holding its ground near its 52-week high after volume-driven gains following choppy action in recent weeks, not a very sound looking base pattern. Reported earnings +26% on +12% sales for the quarter ended July 31, 2011 versus the year ago period. Prior mid-day reports noted - "Good annual earnings history and quarterly earnings increases above the +25% meet the investment system's C and A guidelines, however sales revenues have shown just steady increases in the +12-14% range."

Choppy consolidation in recent weeks is not considered a sound base pattern, yet after repairing a recent 50 DMA violation it is now perched within close striking distance of its all-time high. A considerable gap up on 7/28/11 came after reporting earnings +133% on +127% sales revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Bullish action has continued while it rarely and briefly paused to consolidate since noted in the 5/23/11 mid-day report - "Inching higher today for new all-time high and it could go on to produce more climactic gains.. It completed a Public Offering on 5/05/11 and technically formed an advanced '3-weeks tight' pattern, however a new pivot point is not being cited. It is trading +80% above its 200 DMA line, which serves as a reminder for investors to watch out for sell signals more than having a bias toward any new buying efforts. Reported earnings +129% on +101% sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 versus the year ago period. Held its ground following its considerable gap up on 3/10/11 after news of a deal with Starbucks Corp (SBUX). It has maintained a very strong sales revenues and earnings growth history solidly satisfying the C and A criteria. This previously featured leader was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/01/10."

Gapped up today, approaching its 52-week high while wedging higher without great volume conviction. It has been rebounding after a deep pullback under its 50 DMA and 200 DMA lines since last noted in the 7/19/11 mid-day report - "No overhead supply remains to act as resistance. Sales revenues have been +12-19% and earnings increases above the +25% guideline for the past 4 comparisons through Mar '11 versus the year ago period(s). The prior growth history for this Retail/Wholesale Building Products firm included a downturn in FY '09 which raises concerns with respect to the A criteria of the fact-based investment system's guidelines."

Hitting another new 52-week and all-time high today after a choppy 5-week consolidation that is not recognized as a sound base pattern. There is no overhead supply remaining to act as resistance. Reported earnings +193% on +59% sales revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. Technically it found support near prior highs during its quiet consolidation after noted in the 7/14/11 mid-day report when rising from a cup-with-handle pattern. FY '10 was its first ever profitable year, while the A criteria calls for a strong 3-5 year earnings growth history. Recent quarterly comparisons showed greatly improved sales revenues and earnings increases. The Medical - Ethical Drugs firm rose 80-fold from its low of $0.52 in April 2009. Ownership by top-rated funds rose from 117 in Jun '10 to 243 in Jun '11, a reassuring sign concerning the I criteria.

Hovering at its all-time high today, adding to its impressive streak of volume-driven gains. Recent mid-day reports noted - "Repeatedly noted as extended from any sound base pattern. Found support near its 50 DMA line and well above prior chart resistance on its recent pullback. Reported earnings +78% on +19% sales revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 versus the year ago period and recent quarters were strong, but its up and down annual earnings (questionable A) history remains a fundamental concern. There is a small supply of only 4.26 million shares in its float, which can contribute to greater price volatility in the event of institutional buying or selling."
