More details about this report...
At around
mid-way through each trading day we run
a screen against our database of
high-ranked stocks, searching for
possible buy candidates that are trading
at or near their 52-week high on above
average volume. The results of that
screen are split into the two sections
you see below. The first, titled
"TODAY's FEATURED STOCKS" shows stocks
that our experts have recently
identified as among the strongest candidates to
consider. Stocks highlighted in yellow
are the most timely and noteworthy, so
particular attention and prompt action
may be appropriate. The second section,
titled "TODAY's BREAKOUT SCREEN" shows
the remainder of stocks meeting today's
screen parameters. Our experts have
reviewed and included notes on these
stocks as well, but found that they may
not match up as favorably.

Rebounding above its 50 DMA line with today's gap up gain. It slumped on lighter volume totals since the "negative reversal" at its 52-week high following gains lacking great volume conviction when last noted with caution in the 8/02/13 mid-day report - "Reported earnings +89% on +53% sales revenues for the Jun '13 quarter marking its 3rd consecutive quarterly comparison meeting the fact-based investment system's C criteria. The downturn in FY '09 and '10 was previously noted flaw concerning the A criteria."

Most Recent Note for LRN - 8/30/2013 12:50:43 PM
Trading up today following a considerable "breakaway gap" for a new 52-week high on the prior session. Reported earnings +20% on +19% sales revenues for the Jun '13 quarter, below the +25% minimum earnings guideline (C criteria). Undercut its 50 DMA during its consolidation then rebounded and reached new highs since noted in the 5/15/13 mid-day report with caution - "Earnings increases improved in the Dec '12 and Mar '13 quarters, but prior quarterly comparisons and its annual earnings (A criteria) history are not a match with the fact-based system's fundamental guidelines. Technically, it is trading at its 52-week high but faces resistance due to overhead supply up through the $37 area."

Pulling back from new 52-week and all-time highs hit his week, encountering mild distributional pressure. Showing resilience and strength since noted in the 8/27/13 mid-day report - "Fundamentals remain strong with great earnings increases through the Jun '13 quarter. It has not formed a sound base. Patient investors may watch for a proper base to possibly form and be noted in the weeks ahead. The broader market (M criteria) should also confirm a new rally before any new buying efforts may be justified. Rebounding near its 2012 high following a deep consolidation below its 200 DMA line since dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 8/28/12."
