Y - Within -4% of its 5/03/10 all-time high, now working on the right side of a 15-week cup shaped base without a handle. A proper "handle" forms over a minimum of 1 week and includes a pullback in the 10-12% range. Color code is changed to yellow with pivot point cited based on its 52-week high plus ten cents. As noted in the 7/30/10 mid-day report - "It has the look of a big base-on-base type pattern now with prior resistance near $40. Recent quarters showed accelerating sales revenues and earnings increases since last noted in the 4/30/10 mid-day report. The high-ranked Apparel firm's quarterly earnings increases have been well above the +25% guideline, satisfying the C criteria. Its annual earnings history (A criteria) since FY '07 has been good."

Gapped up today and quickly rallied to a new 52-week high. For the quarter ended June 30, 2010 it reported +53% earnings on +7% sales versus the year ago period, continuing its solid earnings trend. Sales revenues were reported in the -4% to +11% range for the past 7 comparisons, however. It found support well above its 200 DMA line but endured heavy distribution since last noted in the mid-day report on 4/30/10 following a Secondary Offering completed 3/31. As it was noted on 4/30/10 - "There is no overhead supply to act as resistance, yet it is up substantially from a low of $0.47 in Nov '08."

Thin leadership (L criteria) in the Computer Software - Medical group (Group RS Rating 61) is a concern, while its peer in the group, Medassets Inc (MDAS -7.36%), is enduring distributional pressure today.

Earnings increases have been strong in the 2 latest quarters, but prior quarterly comparisons showed sub par sales and earnings. Blue triangles beside the quarterly and annual earnings figures within the datagraphs used by CANSLIM.net experts indicate pre-tax, non-recurring items were included (where possible, such items are normally removed to provide data better suited for comparison)."

The considerable gain with very heavy volume immediately followed strong results for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. As noted in the 8/04/10 mid-day report - "No overhead supply remains to act as resistance after clearing its deep 3-month consolidation. Based on weak action it was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 5/07/10 and subsequently fell from $225 to $173 before beginning its impressive rebound."

Among several high-ranked leaders (L criteria) in the Cosmetics/Personal Care group appearing in recent mid-day reports, this network marketer of dietary supplements, health foods, and skin care products quarter ending June 30, 2010 showed sales revenues up +12% and earnings per share up +21% versus the year ago period. Noted in recent mid-day reports - "Showing recent improvement, but fundamentally the C and A criteria are not satisfied. Current earnings per share should be up +25% or more and in the 3 or 4 latest comparisons versus the year earlier, and ideally growth should be accelerating in recent quarters. Quarterly sales should also be up +25% or more or accelerating over prior quarters."
