Argentina-based bank is holding its ground at its 52-week high today after another solid gain on heavy volume. It technically broke out on 7/20/10 and was noted in recent mid-day reports - "Quarterly earnings in the 2 latest comparisons showed improvement. However, as we have noted on several other foreign banks appearing in recent mid-day reports, the lack of sales revenues growth is a concern."

Gapped up today for a new all-time high following news it grew sales revenues by +42% with earnings per share up just +18% in the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Last noted in the mid-day report on 7/13/10 - "Edging to within 12 cents of its all-time high today. It has formed a flat base since blasting to its high in April. Sales revenues have shown acceleration, as the quarter ended March 31, 2010 showed better than +25% increases. Prior mid-day reports noted its quarterly sales revenues and earnings increases - 'below or borderline with the investment system's minimum guidelines.' Increasing top-rated institutional ownership (I criteria) is a reassuring sign, yet it is already well-known by the institutional crowd. Annual earnings (A criteria) growth has been strong. On 4/11/07 this stock was dropped from the CANSLIM.net Featured Stocks list and it subsequently fell from $40+ to $14 before rebounding impressively."

Encountering mild distributional pressure today after steadily rising to new 52-week highs. Noted in several recent mid-day reports - "Hovering at its 52-week high after multiple gains on above average volume helped it recently break out to multi-year highs. Earnings increases have been mostly strong in recent quarterly comparisons and annual earnings have been on the rise since it tallied a loss in FY '06. Quarterly sales revenues in the $9-12 million range are rather minuscule, so this Aerospace/Defense firm has not shown explosive demand for its aircraft parts. This low-priced stock is very thinly traded with an average daily volume near 22,000 shares."

Hit another new all-time high today, very extended from a sound base after clearing resistance at the $30 level. Columbian Oil and Gas - Integrated firm reported strong sales and earnings increases for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 versus the year earlier period. Recent quarterly comparisons have shown great improvement, but its prior quarterly and annual earnings history has been below guidelines of the fact-based system.

Reported sales -13% and earnings -77% for the quarter ended June 30, 2010, and it is pulling back today after a couple of big gains on high volume for new 52-week highs. It finished strong following its 7/30/10 mid-day report appearance when it had risen from a long flat base and it was noted - "Brazilian maker of commercial aircraft has not produced strong steady annual earnings growth (A criteria) and it has reported negative sales revenues growth versus the year-ago period in 7 consecutive quarterly comparisons through March 2010."

This low-priced stock is holding its ground near its 52-week high and all-time high today after 2 consecutive gains with above average volume helped it rally up from its 50 DMA line. No overhead supply exists to act as resistance. Noted in the 2 previous mid-day reports - "Encountered resistance when approaching the $7 threshold in recent months while forming an orderly base-on-base type pattern. It has now strung together 3 consecutive quarterly comparisons showing strong sales and earnings increases (C criteria) after a streak of negative quarterly comparisons versus the year ago period. Leadership (L criteria) in the Semiconductor group is also reassuring. Caution is called for, as the investment system guidelines discourage buying low-priced stocks."

Pulling back today after 6 consecutive gains helped it rally to new all-time highs. Recent quarters showed earnings growth coming back, but this India-based financial institution has shown sub par sales revenues increases. Lack of revenue growth is a characteristic that has been noted in several South American banks appearing in recent mid-day reports. HDB slumped badly and its fundamentals deteriorated since it was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 1/17/08.

Gapped up today and spiked to a new all-time high after reporting earnings +69% on +20% better sales revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 versus the year ago period. Interestingly, it was last noted on 5/04/10 after reporting earnings +44% on +19% better sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. Have a look at its chart and note that its up and down annual earnings history (A criteria) remains a fundamental concern. Noted in 5/03/10 mid-day report - "Results for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2009 showed increases in sales and earnings after 4 quarters of negative comparisons. It has rebounded impressively from its Bear Market lows, however its fundamentals are below guidelines, having slumped subsequent to the company's removal from the CANSLIM.net Featured Stocks list on 4/22/08 - details were then covered in the CANSLIM.net After Market Update with an annotated graph (read here)."

Hitting yet another new 52-week high today. Technically, it is now very extended after rising from an 11-week cup shaped pattern with no handle. The Louisville-based Pollution Control - Services firm still has only 3.55 million shares (S criteria) in the public float after a 3:2 split effective 6/02/10, which could lead to more dramatic price volatility in the event of any abrupt institutional buying or selling. Based on weakness it was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 9/09/08 and subsequently slumped from $10.94 to as low as $2.39 before rebounding impressively. Recent quarters showed a dramatic upturn in sales revenues and earnings after some negative comparisons.

Current earnings per share should be up +25% or more and in many cases accelerating in the 3 or 4 most recent quarters.
