More details about this report...
At around
mid-way through each trading day we run
a screen against our database of
high-ranked stocks, searching for
possible buy candidates that are trading
at or near their 52-week high on above
average volume. The results of that
screen are split into the two sections
you see below. The first, titled
"TODAY's FEATURED STOCKS" shows stocks
that our experts have recently
identified as among the strongest candidates to
consider. Stocks highlighted in yellow
are the most timely and noteworthy, so
particular attention and prompt action
may be appropriate. The second section,
titled "TODAY's BREAKOUT SCREEN" shows
the remainder of stocks meeting today's
screen parameters. Our experts have
reviewed and included notes on these
stocks as well, but found that they may
not match up as favorably.

Most Recent Note for AZO - 6/2/2010 12:36:09 PM
Consolidating above prior chart highs since its considerable gain with heavy volume on 5/25/10 for a new 52-week high. Recently found support near its 50 DMA line. Earnings increases have been borderline with the minimum guidelines in the past 3 quarters while sales revenues have increased by only +1-10% in the past 4 quarterly comparisons. While consumers are fixing their old cars and holding off on new car purchases, AZO and similar players in the auto-repair arena have shown great relative strength. Guidelines of the investment system, however, call for current earnings per share +25% or more, and acceleration in recent quarters is important. Also, quarterly sales should also be up at least +18%, +25% or more and ideally accelerating over prior quarters.

Most Recent Note for BAP - 6/2/2010 12:41:49 PM
This Peru-based Bank has a good annual earnings (the A criteria) history, however recent quarterly sales revenues comparisons have been essentially flat and earnings growth has decelerated to below the fact-based investment system's guidelines. Based on weak technical action it was removed from the Featured Stocks list on 7/08/08, and it has rebounded impressively from subsequent lows in the $30 area.

Gapped up today for a new 52-week high. Amid early-May's market weakness it briefly dove below its 50 and 200 DMA lines, then promptly rebounded. Recent quarters showed improved earnings increases but sales revenues have not shown strong increases and its annual earnings history (A criteria) has been up and down.

Most Recent Note for EW - 6/2/2010 12:50:49 PM
Consolidating above its 50 DMA line and only -1% off its 52-week high today while making its 3rd mid-day report appearance in the span of 5 sessions. It has endured numerous distribution days since March yet it held up well, and on 5/28/10 its share price was impacted by a 2:1 split . The Medical - Products firm has a slow but steady annual earnings history. Quarterly sales revenues and earnings increases have been below guidelines. With respect to the N criteria, explosive sales revenues increases would be a true indication of great or growing demand for any company's products.
