Pulling back today after a considerable gain on 5/25/10 for a new 52-week high following a healthy consolidation above is 50 DMA line. Earnings increases have been borderline with the minimum guidelines in the past 3 quarters while sales revenues have increased by only +1-10% in the past 4 quarterly comparisons. While consumers are fixing their old cars and holding off on new car purchases, AZO and similar players in the auto-repair arena have shown great relative strength. Guidelines of the investment system, however, call for current earnings per share +25% or more, and acceleration in recent quarters is important. Also, quarterly sales should also be up at least +18%, +25% or more and ideally accelerating over prior quarters.

Hit a new 52-week high today after holding its ground above its 50 DMA line and prior chart highs acted as support last week. Reported +116% earnings on +31% sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 versus the year ago period, which was an encouraging acceleration in growth rate. It completed a Public Offering on 4/08/10 and an earlier offering on 6/03/09.

Rallying above its 50 DMA line today. It has endured numerous distribution days since March. The Medical - Products firm has a slow but steady annual earnings history. Quarterly sales revenues and earnings increases have been below guidelines. With respect to the N criteria, explosive sales revenues increases would be a true indication of great or growing demand for any company's products.

Churning heavy volume and consolidating after spiking to a new 52-week high on 5/24/10. It now has 2 consecutive quarters of better sales and earnings, but as noted in prior mid-day reports - "prior quarterly comparisons were negative. Its technical action could be described as 'wedging' to new highs, meanwhile its sub par fundamentals are below the investment system guidelines. On 2/28/08 it was dropped from the CANSLIM.net Featured Stocks list and fundamentals subsequently turned south."

Hit a new 52-week high today. It has been consolidating in an orderly fashion above its 50 DMA line. Several auto-parts firms are showing concurrent leadership, which is a common theme whenever economic conditions pressure more consumers into repairing their clunkers rather than buying new cars they cannot afford. Recent quarterly comparisons showed some acceleration in sales revenues and earnings growth, however its annual earnings history has been sluggish (A criteria).

This Computer-Software firm gapped up today and hit a new 52-week high following an analyst upgrade. Noted in 5/24/10 mid-day report - "recently found great support near its 50 DMA line. In recent weeks there has been a cluster of insider buying reported, which is typically an encouraging sign. The quarter ended March 31, 2010 showed better sales and earnings, but overall it falls short of meeting the C and A criteria of the fact-based system."
