Stubbornly holding its ground near all-time highs after a considerable volume-driven gain on 3/02/11. Reported earnings +100% on +5% sales revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 versus the year ago period. Its earnings history has been strong, but the lack of sales revenues growth raises concerns that there is not great or growing demand for a new (N criteria) product or services.

Holding its ground stubbornly near its 52 week high. Last noted in the 3/01/11 mid-day report - "Recent quarters showed lackluster sales revenues growth while earnings increases versus the year earlier were greatly improved. Prior quarterly comparisons and annual earnings (A criteria) growth have not been strong and steady, so it is fundamentally below guidelines of the fact-based investment system."

Gapped up today on news of a deal with Starbucks Corp (SBUX), getting very extended from any sound base. In recent weeks it had rallied above prior resistance in the $37-38 area. It had sputtered below its 50 DMA line since last noted in the 11/30/10 mid-day report as it touched a new all-time high after a very choppy 9-week consolidation that included a brief trip below its 200 DMA line. It has maintained a very strong sales revenues and earnings growth history solidly satisfying the C and A criteria. This previously featured leader was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/01/10.

Perched near its all-time high, pulling back today after a spurt of volume-driven gains including a breakaway gap on 2/23/11 with heavy volume (5 times average daily). Reported earnings +34% on +17% sales revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 versus the year ago period. HLF recently rebounded above its 50 DMA line which was violated in mid-January with losses on heavy volume since noted in the 12/06/10 mid-day report - "It steadily advanced after the previously noted 8/03/10 gap up gain. This high-ranked Cosmetics / Personal Care group leader has an up and down annual earnings history (A criteria) that remains a fundamental concern. In the 4 latest quarters this network marketer of weight management and nutritional supplements showed increases in sales and earnings after 4 negative comparisons. It has rebounded impressively from its Bear Market lows, however its fundamentals are below guidelines, having slumped subsequent to the company's removal from the CANSLIM.net Featured Stocks list on 4/22/08 - details were then covered in the CANSLIM.net After Market Update with an annotated graph (read here)."

Hovering near its 52-week high today, consolidating above its 50 DMA line and still stubbornly holding its ground since last noted in the 2/24/11 mid-day report. Completed another Secondary Offering on 2/18/11. It did not build a sound new base, yet found support at its 50 DMA line and healthy action has continued since its 11/12/10 Secondary Offering was completed. Prior mid-day reports noted - "It recently rose from a previously noted 6-month cup shaped base with no handle, leaving it unhindered by overhead supply.
