Considerable gain today challenging its 52-week high after forming an orderly base. Rallying from its 50 DMA line this week, its first test of that short-term average since its technical breakout on 3/14/12. Reported earnings +32% on +9% sales revenues for the quarter ended February 29, 2012 versus the year ago period. Quarterly earnings increases have been above the +25% guideline (good C criteria) in the past 8 comparisons, however sales revenues increases have been in the 7-10% range over the past year. A downturn in FY '08 and FY '09 earnings is a flaw concerning the A criteria.

Hovering near its 52-week and all-time highs today. Found support near its 50 DMA line during its orderly consolidation since last noted in the 3/28/12 mid-day report - "It has earned high ranks however its earnings history is not a good match with the fact-based system's guidelines. Went through a long consolidation and slumped below its 200 DMA line from the old high which was hit when noted in the 12/07/10 mid-day report - 'Extended from prior chart highs in the $25-26 area. It rallied from an inverse-head-and-shoulders type pattern since finding support at its 200 DMA following the previously noted 'breakaway gap' on 4/27/10. Leadership in the Auto/Truck - Replacement Parts group (L criteria) is a reassuring sign. The C criteria is satisfied as recent quarterly comparisons show earnings increases above the +25% guideline on +15%-20% better sales versus the year ago period. Its up and down annual earnings history (A criteria) is a concern.'"

Hitting another new 52-week high with above average volume behind today's 6th consecutive gain, getting very extended from any sound base pattern. Reported earnings +50% on +32% sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 versus the year ago period. Earnings were above the +25% minimum guideline in 3 of the past 4 quarterly comparisons satisfying the C criteria, however fundamental concerns remain regarding its annual earnings (A criteria) history. The 5/31/11 mid-day report noted- "Found support near its 50 DMA line throughout its ongoing ascent violation. Cluster buying by company insiders in recent months was noted as a reassuring sign. Recent quarterly comparisons show sales revenues and earnings improvements helping it better satisfy the C criteria, but a downturn in FY '09 and FY '10 is a flaw with respect to the A criteria."
