On 10/15/12 it announced plans to sell 4.5 million shares of its common stock and also offer $265 million in convertible senior subordinated notes. It was noted at its 52-week high in the 10/04/12 mid-day report - "Extended from any sound base after its spurt of volume-driven gains helped it rally from a 13 month base. This REIT which invests in sub-prime, non-conforming and other credit-sensitive residential loans had a drastic downturn in annual earnings in prior years and its erratic earnings history raises fundamental concerns. However, it has earned stellar ranks and its recent quarterly comparisons showed huge sales revenues and earnings increases versus the year ago periods."
