Y - Perched -2.8% off its all-time high today, and no overhead supply remains to hinder its progress. Color code is changed to yellow after an orderly base with pivot point based upon its 52-week high plus 10 cents. To trigger a buy signal it needs a gain above its pivot point with sufficient volume and a follow-through day to confirm the broader market (M criteria) is favorable. Reported earnings +31% on +25% sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 versus the year ago period. Prior quarterly comparisons showed sales and earnings near the investment system guidelines. It survived but failed to impress since it was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/28/09.

Consolidating above prior highs and its 50 DMA line since a considerable gap up on 5/19/11 for new 52-week and all-time highs. Technically, it is extended from any sound base, while no overhead supply remains to act as resistance. Reported earnings +34% on +14% sales revenues for the quarter ended April 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Good annual earnings history and quarterly earnings increases above the +25% meet the investment system's C and A guidelines, however sales revenues have shown just steady increases in the +12-14% range.

Holding its ground, it found support above its 50 DMA line while consolidating above previously stubborn resistance in the $73 area. Recent quarterly comparisons show slight sales revenues acceleration and better earnings increases, but a downturn in FY '09 earnings is a flaw concerning the A criteria of the fact-based investment system. Prior mid-day reports noted - "Sales revenues and earnings history make the fundamentals questionable for this aerospace/defense firm."

Churning above average volume after inching up for new 52-week and all-time highs (above its 2007 high) last week. Stubbornly held its ground in a tight range in recent weeks. It is not near a sound base pattern now, yet prior mid-day reports have noted - "Disciplined investors may watch for secondary buy points or a sound new base to develop and be noted in the weeks ahead. Sales revenues and earnings increases (C criteria) have shown impressive acceleration in recent quarterly comparisons. Concern were previously noted because its annual earnings (A criteria) history was up and down, yet recent fundamental and technical action has been a better match for winning models of the fact-based investment system."

It is perched -2.4% off its 52-week high.

Today it remains perched near its 52-week high and previously stubborn resistance in the $40 area. Volume-driven gain on 5/10/11 and subsequent volume driven gains helped it inch out of a "double bottom" base after recently finding support near its 200 DMA line. Annual earnings (A criteria) growth has been strong. Quarterly results have also shown strong earnings increases, but sales revenues growth has not been strong and steady, leaving fundamental concerns. Ownership by top-rated funds fell from 363 in Dec '10 to 349 in Mar '11.

It went through consolidation back and forth beneath its 50 DMA line since noted in the 11/26/10 mid-day report following gains with heavy volume that had lifted it well above its 2007 all-time high - "The well-known Retail/Wholesale Jewelry firm was noted for the first time in three years in the 11/16/10 mid-day report day report - 'Sales revenues and earnings growth have been improving in recent quarters, but prior quarters and its annual earnings (A criteria) history fall below the investment system's guidelines.'"

Quarterly and annual earning increases have not been strong and steady like the fundamentally superior candidates and winning models in the book, "How To Make Money In Stocks". Technically it is enduring distributional pressure and slumping toward prior highs and its 50 DMA line defining support in the $58-59 area. Big gain on 5/05/11 with heavy volume helped it technically break out to new 52-week and all-time highs.

Making its second consecutive mid-day report appearance. The 6/06/11 mid-day report noted - "It is extended from a sound base after rallying to new 52-week highs since last noted in the 5/12/11 mid-day report after finding prompt support near its 50 DMA line. This Brazilian Telecom - Wireless Services firm has no overhead supply to act as resistance. Quarterly comparisons have shown strong earnings increases (good C criteria) history. However, FY '11 consensus earnings estimates call for only +8% growth, and its relatively low P/E Ratio (0.9 X S&P 500 now) weighs negatively concerning its earnings growth outlook."

Gapped up, rallying to a new 52-week high with today's 4th consecutive gain helping it rise form a short flat base pattern. Last noted in the 4/29/11 mid-day report - "Reported earnings +47% on +13% sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 versus the year ago period. It had consolidated back and forth near its 50 DMA line since completing a 12/02/10 Secondary Offering, and recently wedged into new high territory without great volume conviction behind its gains. Sales revenues increases have been steadily in the +9-13% range for the past year and a half, not showing strong growth or acceleration indicative of great growth in demand for its products or services. A Secondary Offering on 5/19/10 followed its 10/28/09 reorganization."
