Paused after 10 consecutive gains, perched at its 52-week high. Volume-driven gains in the past 3 weeks helped it gradually rise from an orderly base pattern since the 5/05/11 mid-day report noted - "Group RS rating currently is D, not reassuring concerning the L criteria. Earnings increase of +46% for the Mar '11 quarter was the first comparison in more than 2 years with a better than +25% increase."

Most Recent Note for ASPS - 5/23/2011 12:22:33 PM
Pulling back today after a volume-driven gain on the prior session. The 5/17/11 mid-day report noted -"In recent months it built an orderly base-on-base type pattern and technically broke out with a considerable gain on 4/20/11. Subsequent volume driven gains helped its Relative Strength Rank improve while getting extended from prior highs. Disciplined investors may watch for secondary buy points or a sound new base to possibly be formed and noted. This Luxembourg-based Financial Services firm's small supply (S criteria) of only 16.8 million shares in the public float can contribute to greater volatility in the event of institutional buying or selling. After it was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/07/10 it then violated its 200 DMA with a streak of volume-driven losses before rebounding back above its 200 DMA and 50 DMA lines."

Consolidating above its 50 DMA line in an orderly manner, today's gain has it challenging the high end of a 7-week flat base pattern. This high-ranked leader's earnings and sales revenues showed great increases in recent quarterly comparisons, however it lacks a good steady annual earnings growth history (the A criteria).

Holding its ground stubbornly after a recently noted streak of 6 consecutive gains with above average volume, perched near its 52-week high with no overhead supply remaining to act as resistance. The 5/17/11 mid-day report noted - "Reported earnings +17% on +48% sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 versus the year ago period, continuing a clear trend of sequential deceleration in its quarterly sales and earnings increases. Consensus estimates call for +14% earnings increase in FY '11."

Up from early lows after gapping down today. It is extended from its recent base after spiking to new 52-week highs and multi-year highs (above its 2007 high) with volume-driven gains. Disciplined investors may watch for secondary buy points or a sound new base to develop and be noted in the weeks ahead if the broader market (M criteria) rally resumes. Sales revenues and earnings increases (C criteria) have shown impressive acceleration in recent quarterly comparisons. Concern were previously noted because its annual earnings (A criteria) history was up and down, yet recent fundamental and technical action has been a better match for winning models of the fact-based investment system.

Inching higher today for new all-time high and it could go on to produce more climactic gains.. It completed a Public Offering on 5/05/11 and technically formed an advanced "3-weeks tight" pattern, however a new pivot point is not being cited. It is trading +80% above its 200 DMA line, which serves as a reminder for investors to watch out for sell signals more than having a bias toward any new buying efforts. Reported earnings +129% on +101% sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 versus the year ago period. Held its ground following its considerable gap up on 3/10/11 after news of a deal with Starbucks Corp (SBUX). Prior mid-day reports have noted - "It has maintained a very strong sales revenues and earnings growth history solidly satisfying the C and A criteria. This previously featured leader was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/01/10."

Reported earnings +56% on +13% sales revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 versus the year ago period. Consolidating above its 50 DMA line and just -2.9% off its all-time high. Its annual earnings results showed a small downturn in '07, which is a minor flaw concerning the A criteria which calls for 3-5 years of steady earnings growth. Quarterly sales revenues and earnings increases are not solidly meeting the guidelines with respect to the C criteria. The stock is somewhat heavily owned (percentage-wise) by funds relative to its management's small 6% reported ownership. Top-rated funds owning an interest decreased from 605 in Mar '09 to 575 in Mar '11, which is not good news concerning the I criteria
