Fundamentals remain a concern, as was the case when this thinly-traded AMEX listed stock was noted in the 6/23/08 mid-day report - 'Questionable annual earnings history (the A criteria) but recent quarterly comparisons show better sales revenues and earnings increases.'"

Hitting yet another new 52-week high today with a volume-driven gain. This low-priced stock was noted in prior mid-day reports - "Reported strong results for the quarter ended December 31, 2011, making it 3 consecutive quarterly comparisons (C criteria) above the +25% minimum earnings guideline. Its up and down annual earnings (A criteria) history remains a fundamental concern. Bullish action has continued after it appeared in 5 mid-day reports during February noted - 'Quarterly and annual earnings history has been below the investment system's guidelines.'"

Holding its ground today following a considerable gap up gain on the prior session with heavy volume for a new 52-week and all-time high. It is extended from prior highs in the $63 area. Technically, it broke out with a volume-driven gain on 3/14/12, and it has been rising with no resistance due to overhead supply. Reported earnings +32% on +9% sales revenues for the quarter ended February 29, 2012 versus the year ago period. Quarterly earnings increases have been above the +25% guideline in the past 8 comparisons, however sales revenues increases have been in the 7-10% range over the past year. A downturn in FY '08 and FY '09 earnings is a flaw concerning the A criteria.

Ownership by top-rated funds rose from 888 in Sep '11 to 928 in Dec '11. No resistance remains due to overhead supply and it is hovering near its 52-week high today, extended from prior highs in the $45 area. Earnings have been above the +25% guideline in quarterly comparisons and its annual earnings history has been strong. However, in 5 of the past 8 quarters (through Sep 2011) there are blue triangles beside the earnings figure on the chart service used by our experts - which indicates pre-tax, non-recurring items were included (where possible, such items are normally removed to provide data better suited for comparison).

Consolidating above its 50 DMA line and near its 2011 highs which define chart support to watch. Sales revenues and earnings increases reported in the Sep and Dec '11 quarters showed a decelerating growth rate. Its annual earnings (A criteria) history and quarterly earnings and sales revenues increases have been below the fact-based investment system guidelines. Large supply of 2.053 billion shares outstanding makes this goliath Computer - Data Storage firm an unlikely sprinter.
