Its shares split 3:1 on 12/31/12. Increasing ownership from 282 top-rated funds in Jun '12 to 331 in Dec '12 is a reassuring sign concerning the I criteria. This Medical - Services firm has been consolidating above its 50 DMA line enduring mild distributional pressure since hitting its 52-week high when last noted in the 3/07/13 mid-day report with caution - "Recently rose from an orderly consolidation with no resistance due to overhead supply. Earnings increases above the +25% minimum guideline (C criteria) are reassuring however sales revenues increases show worrisome sequential deceleration from +48%, +20% to +12% in the Jun, Sep and Dec '12 quarterly comparisons versus the year ago periods, respectively."

Most Recent Note for AL - 4/4/2013 12:26:01 PM
Making its 2nd consecutive mid-day report appearance, it halted its slide today after retreating near its 50 DMA line with a volume-driven loss on the prior session. Prior highs in the $26 area define the next near-term support. Recently tallied 11 consecutive weekly gains, and very little overhead supply remains to act as resistance. A valid secondary buy point exists following a successful test of support at its 10-week moving average (WMA) up to +5% above the latest high, meanwhile it may be forming a new base. Decelerating sales revenues and earnings increases in sequential quarterly comparisons through Dec '12 is a cause for some concern, however fundamentals are strong enough that prior mid-day reports noted - "Earnings history has been strong and is a good match with the fact-based investment system's fundamental guidelines (C and A criteria)."

Encountering distributional pressure and retreating from its 52-week high toward its 50 DMA line. It is very extended from any sound base and it was last noted in the 3/14/13 mid-day report with caution - "Found support well above prior highs and above its 50 DMA line during its recent consolidation. Reported earnings +51% on +34% sales revenues for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2012 versus the year ago period. Recent quarterly earnings increases above the +25% guideline satisfy the C criteria, but its up and down annual earnings (A criteria) history is a concern. Based on weak action it was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 10/03/08 and fundamentals deteriorated afterward while it slumped from above $21 to as low as $8.57 before rebounding."
