More details about this report...
At around
mid-way through each trading day we run
a screen against our database of
high-ranked stocks, searching for
possible buy candidates that are trading
at or near their 52-week high on above
average volume. The results of that
screen are split into the two sections
you see below. The first, titled
"TODAY's FEATURED STOCKS" shows stocks
that our experts have recently
identified as among the strongest candidates to
consider. Stocks highlighted in yellow
are the most timely and noteworthy, so
particular attention and prompt action
may be appropriate. The second section,
titled "TODAY's BREAKOUT SCREEN" shows
the remainder of stocks meeting today's
screen parameters. Our experts have
reviewed and included notes on these
stocks as well, but found that they may
not match up as favorably.

Most Recent Note for AAPL - 4/3/2012 11:47:21 AM
Hitting another new all-time high today. Stubbornly held its ground after recent gains backed by average volume. It could go on to produce more climactic gains, however, this well-known tech leader is very extended from any sound base pattern, making it a risky candidate. Prior notes acknowledged the considerable rally since the previously noted "breakaway gap" on 1/25/12 from an advanced "3-weeks tight" base pattern. Members may study companies on the "Featured Stocks" list for current stocks resembling the winning models of the fact-based investment system.

Most Recent Note for AZO - 4/3/2012 11:52:58 AM
Small gap up today, approaching its 52-week high with a volume-driven gain after an orderly 5-week flat base above its 50 DMA line. Reported earnings +24% on +9% sales revenues for the quarter ended January 31, 2012 versus the year ago period. It has shown strong annual earnings (A criteria) growth while its quarterly increases have been borderline with the minimum +25% guideline for the C criteria. It is heavily owned by mutual funds already, yet top-rated funds owning shares rose from 878 in Dec '10 to 1,117 in Dec '11, a reassuring sign concerning the I criteria. While consumers are fixing their old cars and holding off on new car purchases, AZO and similar players in the auto-repair arena have shown some leadership.

Hit yet another new 52-week high today, adding to a recent impressive spurt of volume-driven gains. It is very extended from any sound base pattern. Strong action came in recent weeks as the company provided encouraging guidance and received an analyst upgrade, however prior mid-day reports repeatedly noted - "Fundamentals still are not a match with the investment system's guidelines. Consolidating in a tight range in recent weeks above its 50 DMA line and near its all-time high, clear of all resistance due to overhead supply. Its quarterly and annual earnings history are not a solid match with the investment system's guidelines. Reported earnings +18% on +15% sales revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 versus the year ago. After a streak of flat or negative sales and earnings comparisons and a downward turn in FY '09 earnings (flaw in regard to the A criteria) its recent results have been sub par. This previously Featured Stock once put up great gains and matched the investment system criteria following its Oct 2002 appearance.

Prior mid-day reports noted - "Recent quarterly comparisons and earnings had improved greatly, but the Oct '11 period showed earnings +11% on +8% sales revenues, below the guidelines of the fact-based system, and a downturn in FY '08 & '09 annual earnings (A criteria) history is another fundamental flaw."
